Founder of Z Gallery Arts Inc., Zohra Bonnis has worked for years at the intersection of contemporary art, publishing, and curatorial practice, building long-term relationships between artists, collectors, and institutions.
Since 2016, through Z Gallery Arts, she has developed exhibitions, artist books, international art fair presentations, and private collector placements, with a focus on supporting serious artistic practices and creating lasting cultural dialogue.
Her ceramic practice emerged through years of study and training across France, Japan, Korea, China, and Canada, with a particular focus on porcelain, glaze research, and traditional material knowledge. Time spent in Jingdezhen, alongside Korean and Japanese ceramic traditions, continues to shape her studio practice and curatorial vision.
Her work moves between gallery and studio — between contemporary art and the discipline of making — with an emphasis on material intelligence, historical continuity, and the relationship between place and practice.
Today, her work extends between Vancouver and Porto Heli, Greece, where Z Gallery Arts develops seasonal workshops, artist residencies, and curatorial projects grounded in ceramics, contemporary art, and cultural exchange.
